James Cropper Luxepack Stand

Love Displays designed and installed a custom exhibition stand at LuxePack, the luxury packaging show held annually in Monaco.  Our client is a leading global supplier of luxury papers.  Working to a loose brief to incorporate two pieces of art that represent capabilities and values of the company, Love displays designed and crafted two amazing sculptures to be incorporated in the stand design and act as a draw and talking point for stand visitors.

Speaking on behalf of our client, Julie Tomlinson said: "The exhibition stand that Love Displays designed and built for us was by far the best we have had at this show since we started exhibiting many years ago and the complete project ran without any complications from start to finish.  The design and layout worked really well allowing several discreet interactions to take place at any one time, and the Floating Chronology sculpture was very well received by visitors on many levels - from a piece of decorative art to a snap-shot of our expertise in making coloured papers."

169 Years of Coloured Paper Development                                         Bespoke Paper Making Capabilities

Our brief was to create a piece of art to represent our clients 169 years of coloured paper development.  The piece needed to provide a real wow factor and act as a draw to the stand. We produced a representation of a horizontal cross-section of a tree trunk and cut 169 grooves into it to display the pattern of annual growth rings.  Over 3000 metres of paper taken from A4 sheets were carefully cut and inserted into the grooves with a different colour in each ring.  The finished product surpassed everyones expectations and created a stunning backdrop for the main wall of the exhibition stand.

Our second brief was to create a sculpture which should capture the wide variety of bespoke papers that can be created using a specific base paper  The sculpture should be based around 'obsidian' which is the name our client gave to their purest of black papers. A variety of versions of this paper were supplied, each with it's own bespoke texture or surface finish. Using various techniques we turned their paper sheets into a dynamic crystal rock formation to represent obsidian in its natural form - a naturally occurring mineral-like volcanic glass.  LED lighting was added for even greater impact.

Maximising Stand Visitor Interactions                                                    Creating True Functionality Through Clever Design

Our client needed an area in which their staff could present their paper samples to a number of stand visitors at any one time as well as provide a place to display the proposed 'obsidian' sculpture.  With such a confined exhibition space this required careful design consideration from which the 'ameba' desk was created.  Rather a strange name I hear you say, but one which best described the somewhat unusual shape of the unit we designed.  It provided enough space for 3 discreet interactions to take place around a central sculpture with each area having easy access to a samples storage cupboard and an eye catching illuminated product display.  Objective accomplished!

Here we have the finished 'ameba' desk complete with the 'obsidian' sculpture in the centre. What we achieved was a place where the staff could engage in simultaneous but discreet interactions with stand visitors surrounding a sculpture which created intrigue and an interesting talking point.  The stylish LED illuminated product sample boxes and accessible storage cupboards containing sample swatch books provided the sales staff with everything they needed for a successful presentation at their fingertips.  This carefully designed unit ultimately helped our client maximise the number of positive leads generated throughout the show.
